Universal H*****care
You know, with the resent resignation of democratic government Spitzer over getting caught with a prostitute that charged $5,000 an hour (or about 50 euros with the dollar being further down in the gutter than the governer) I came to a realization that there are two americas. One america where you can afford to spend 5K an hour on a prostitute and have your wife stand by your side (and even encourage you to stay in public office) and another where you'd be lucky to have $50 to spend on sex with a women and if you were ever caught, you'd be lucky not to have the divorce papers signed with the blood dripping from your recently neutered you-know-whats.
Now both Hillary and Obama are for universal healthcare. So why don't they both come out with a plan for universal hookercare so people from the latter america can enjoy the things the people of the former america can easily afford (namely people who charge you 5K an hour for "various services"). As a bonus, all the hookers would automatically be enrolled in the universal healthcare program as well as a sweet compensation package if they get pregnant and choose to keep the child. They are afterall doing the public a service and shouldn't be punished for their choice by some facist government official. As an added bonus, anyone who uses one of these "personal entertainment professionals" services would get a Get Out of a Divorce Free card so you can continue leading a happy lifestyle free from worry if you ever get caught. Just use the card and your signifigant other can't get a divorce from you. And to be fair to them, it would have a number so they too can get government funded "personal entertainment professional" services as well.
Would anyone vote for a politician who offered that?

um... not 50 euros... 1 euro isn't worth $100.
rofl. hookercare - great name.
i would say facist is a little harsh, but that is just me.
umm... get out of divorce card... if you are sleeping with someone else that you paid money for, that says your partner must suck and you have to do stuff with another to get your wants... so why would you need said card?

Give the US fed reserve a week or two more to tank it.

Divorces are expensive an painful. Just because your SO isn't doing it for you in bed doesn't mean that person has no redeeming qualities.
BTW, that girl in the picture looks like a brunette Paris Hilton.

Rexion, I don't think it's health in the title.
It's probably hooker.

I was confused two Rexion, I didn't know aspects of socialism were so offensive :P
I'm all for registering and regulating prostitutes, but first what I think America needs is a fully functioning, reliable NHS (like we used to have. I blame software companies partly!) before they start working on an NHC. Techincally though, an American NHS could be combined with a simple NHC on the basis that the prostitutes would have to be periodically screened and treated. That and they could be part of treatment plans for people with addictions and certain illnesses.
Let's see what gets through the filter now *hits enter*
Edit: Whoo, everything! I'm special, the filter likes me

You can read this news blog for further information about the operation in question. The service's website has been closed, but the blog has some interesting screen captures of what it used to be. The prices alone ($31,000 per day for the "seven diamond" employees) are enough to make most people cringe in disgust and/or envy.
